Work
Medical Equipment User Interface Design and Ergonomics
Independent UX Researcher and Designer (Multiple Projects)
August 2016 – March 2017
Following a successful research and development assignment when I was with Pactera (2013/14), I was contracted by the Japanese based medical equipment manufacturer to be an independent UX Researcher and Analyst for the design phase of the planned ‘System Controller’, a medical device used in therapeutic procedures.
June 2018 – August 2018
The client engaged me to assist with providing feedback and advice on the design and to conduct exploratory usability testing on a voice driven medical software concept planned to be released to market in 2019. The project team faced challenges on conflicting views between the Japanese and American business groups on the value proposition for the product within its target user group.
